Welcome.
I’m Christina H. Kimm, a writer who translates ideas into life and turns even stillness and pain into movement.
I write novels and essays that explore choice, what it means to truly see one another, and how people—and sometimes intelligent machines—learn to live together. Rather than offering answers, I hope my stories create space for readers to discover their own.
I write under the pen name The Cult Leader.
Not because I want followers.
Quite the opposite.
If my writing does its job well, I hope you leave trusting your own judgment a little more than mine, carrying a better question than the one you arrived with.
New stories and essays are published every Saturday.
If you’re new here, you might enjoy beginning with I Am a Cult Leader, where I explain how an unexpected nickname became my pen name—and why I believe every good teacher, and every good story, should eventually let people walk away.
Don’t believe me.
Just choose.
